Welcome to the New President and Chair of the Board of Trustees: Janet Legrand

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Janet Legrand OBE KC (Hon) as the new President of Goodenough  College and Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Janet brings extensive leadership, governance and higher education experience. Formerly Senior Partner and Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper, she was appointed Queen’s Counsel Honoris Causa in 2018 for her contribution to the legal profession.

She currently serves as Chair of the RNLI, is a Board Member of Advance HE, and sits on the advisory panel of IntoUniversity. Her previous governance roles include positions a tthe University of Edinburgh, City, University of London, and the University of Cambridge.

A former Chair of The Children's Society, Janet was awarded an OBE for her services to young people.

We are honoured to welcome Janet and look forward to her leadership as Goodenough College continues to support and connect outstanding postgraduate students from around the world.
